Some women get stretch marks very easily while others never get even one. The appearance of some of them can be very deep while some look barely noticeable. Regardless of how they may look, a lot of women want them gone, or at least want the appearance reduced. Fortunately, there are a lot of products including oils, herb and vitamins that usually can help reduce the appearance of stretch marks That is where most women start, at the beginning. Using products like Cocoa butter and Shea butter sometimes help reduce the signs of the stretch marks. Keeping the skin moist is often enough.

For those who want to venture further and perhaps experiment a little, women who have been plagued in the past by stretch marks have come up with home made remedies for them. These remedies usually have ingredients that moisturize the skin, regenerate skin tissue and help increase elasticity. One such remedy calls for Cocoa butter, the liquid from 4 vitamin K and 4 vitamin C and just a touch of baby oil. Rub this solution on the stretch marks twice a day. Any left over can be put into a jar and kept in the refrigerator.

Because there is not one solution to every woman’s stretch marks, it sometimes takes some experimenting to find something that works. In fact, sometimes it can take months to see a noticeable improvement. Some women choose laser surgery to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. This is easier than it sounds and most women are back to their normal routine the next day.

Lavender is a herb that has long been used to treat stretch marks. Mixing some lavender oil with some Vitamin K and Aloe Vera could prove to be very beneficial. Chamomile is another favorite for stretch marks. Soaking a chamomile tea bag in a little baby oil and applying the tea bag to the stretch marks is another home remedy that many claim works.

It probably isn’t best to switch methods from day to day as you want to give each solution a fair chance at working. If nothing seems to work at all, you may want to discuss the problem with your doctor. There may be new medications out or new concoctions that haven’t been thought of before. There are a lot of women, however, that find that the home remedies or the over the counter medications work well enough.
