Home Remedies for Stretch Marks
Millions of women get them and many will stop at nothing to get rid of them. Although stretch marks are, for the most part preventable, by keeping the skin well oiled, some women still get them. The worst part is, some women never get any stretch marks at all even though they do nothing to prevent them.
Nothing can make a stretch mark completely go away but there are some things that can be done to reduce the appearance of the stretch marks. Obviously, since they were caused by a stretching of the skin, exercise and toning the body can reduce the appearance of the stretch marks. This obviously is not going to be the ideal answer for everyone. There are also herbs, vitamins, lotions, creams and home made concoctions which also have shown to reduce the appearance of the marks.
The more healing mixtures that can be put together, the better. One home made mixture is the liquid from 4 Vitamin E capsules, 4 Vitamin E capsules, aloe vera and baby oil. Mix all of this together and put it into a jar. This is enough for many uses no matter how many stretch marks there are.
Another home made recipe calls for seeping a Chamomile tea bag in some baby oil and then applying the tea bad to the affected areas. Vitamin K cream has been said to actually get rid of stretch marks but there is no medical proof of that. Shea butter is proving to be very promising in reducing/eliminating stretch marks. That being said, a combination of home remedies and exercise are usually what does the trick.
Aloe vera gel mixed with olive oil has gotten some good reports. Mixing in the liquid from a couple of capsules of Vitamin A seems to be even more promising. Lavender oil and Aloe Vera gel is another treatment that is well spoken of. A person could do their own mixture by simply keeping in mind moisture and materials that help skin rejuvenate. Vitamins E, K, A and even C can have liquids extracted from them. Add healing herbs and flowers such as lavender or chamomile and then mix it all in with some Aloe Vera or Baby oil or even almond oil. The reason there are so many home remedies is that people were willing to experiment and find a remedy that worked for them. Sticking with all natural ingredients, one can hardly go wrong.
